Introduction
The 2008 Beijing Olympic Equestrian Games will take place in Hong Kong at from Saturday August 9 untill Thursday August 21
All participating horses will pass a Pre-Export Quarantine (PEQ) at several locations in the world. For most horses stabled in Europe, a central Pre-Export Quarantine (PEQ) will be organised at the CHIO-Aachen (Germany) stables for some 200 horses.
The PEQ Aachen will take place:
- from 17-7-2008 until 30-7-2008 (eventing & dresssage)
- from 26-7-2008 until 5-8-2008 jumping)
- from 18-8-2008 until 27-8-2008 (paralympics)
Once the PEQ has started, no supplies of feed, hay, straw or roughage are allowed to enter the PEQ-stables at the CHIO Aachen’s venue.

Feed-supply for Aachen PEQ
HAVENS is feed-supplier of CHIO Aachen and was Official Horsefeed of the WEG 2006 in Aachen.
At the OG Barcelona 1992, Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004 HAVENS has also supplied horsefeed for international riders.
HAVENS Horsefeed has also been selected as feed-supplier of the Aachen PEQ.
During the Aachen PEQ free horsefeed will be available for all stabled horses. All feeds will be tested on the absence of any doping-ingredients, so we guarantee absolute doping-free feed.

Martin Draper of Tallahesse Equestrian Supplies is responsible for all feed, roughage and/or horseshoes-supplies to Hong Kong.

Feed-supply for HK Olympics
As sending feed by air is extremely expensive, riders can choose to pre-order HAVENS Horsefeed and have it supplied directly to every country / team’s stable at the HK Equestrian sites.
The feed will be sent to Hong Kong per sea-container, directly from Europe or from our Singapore of Hong Kong warehouses. Local delivery to every country’s stable will be done by Schenker (the exclusive supplier for the freight forwarding for the OG).
HAVENS-Agent TALLAHESSE will organise that the feeds will be accompanied by all necessary Plant Import Licence and Phytosanitary Certificates required by the Hong Kong Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department.

Guarantees for Doping-free feed.
Espacially since the Athens 2004 Equestrian Olympic Games, the absolute absence of any doping-positive ingredient in any feed-material is of utmost importance.
Prior to shipment to the PEQ-Aachen and/or Hong Kong 2008, all HAVENS-feeds will be tested on the absence of all feed-related doping-ingredients (like theobromine, caffeine, theophiline, morphine).
Copies of laboratory-analysis are submitted upon request.

20 years "Olympic Horsefeed"
For years, from Seoul 1988 till Hong Kong 2008, HAVENS Horsefeeds like DraversBrok, Power-Plus Mix or Reform-Herbal-Muesli have been used at the Olympic Games by dutch and international riders as their preferred horsefeed.
At the 1992 Barcelona Games, HAVENS was the proud supplier of the team from the Netherlands, winning GOLD in the Jumping competition.
While being held in the Netherlands in The Hague in 1994, HAVENS horsefeed was "official horse feed" of the World Equestrian Games 1994 (W.E.G.).
For the Sydney 2000 Games, with a special import-licence from the Australian Authorities, HAVENS supplied horsefeed for several international riders including Jeroen Dubbeldam, winner of the individual GOLD-Medal in the jumping-competition.
And - of cource - we are proud of our Netherlands Showjumping-team for their unforgettable performance at the World Equestrian Games 2006 in Aachen (GER) when HAVENS was again "official horsefeed".
After what can only be described as the most exciting, electrifying, exhilarating and unforgettable Team Jumping Final, the Netherlands won another GOLD in Showjumping.
